Hi, I'm Cara, the maker behind Horse Money Turquoise and co-creator of ♥1879.

I'm a believer, a wife, and a mom to Reese and Jett. Our family has always been rooted in the western way of life, where faith, family, horses, and ranching have shaped who we are.

My love for horses began long before Horse Money Turquoise. I grew up watching my dad rodeo, my parents show horses, and my uncles and cousins race and train them. I grew up hearing the tales about my great great granddad Buck, a Texas pioneer who brought some of the first race horses to the area. He owned the only horse, Rattler, to have beaten "The Denton Mare," which was owned by the notorious outlaw Sam Bass.

Ironically, I met and married my husband whose family ranch is located very near Sam Bass Canyon, one of Sam Bass’s hideouts. Our children are the 7th generation to have been raised on the ranch that was established on February 14, 1879. The love of horses continues on the ranch as we run a cow calf operation, raise bulls for sale, and our son team ropes.

Horse Money Turquoise began with a joke. My son, Jett, teased that I was spending all of his "horse money" on turquoise jewelry for my daughter Reese, and the name stuck. What started as a passion for creating jewelry has grown into something more.

Today, Reese and I are proud to introduce ♥1879 by Horse Money Turquoise, a brand inspired by our family's ranching heritage and a shared love for timeless western style. Whether it's handcrafted turquoise jewelry, apparel, or pieces that celebrate the western lifestyle, everything we create is rooted in family, tradition, and the legacy we're proud to carry forward.

Thank you for checking out our site, and we hope you find some Horse Money Turquoise and ♥1879 to add to your collection!
